The Clinical OSCE candidate guide is the free map of how OSCE Revisions works when your exam is a school-shaped or flexible UK OSCE — not PLAB 2 and not the fixed MLA OSCE circuit. No signup is required to read this page or download the PDF.

This track gives you the full 1,800+ library, a Start Here Core of 665, and customisable mocks so you can match station count and timing to your school. It is a product track with product scoring — not a named regulator exam. Always follow your school's published OSCE circular.

Who this guide is for

This guide is for candidates whose OSCE is not a fixed national circuit: end-of-year OSCEs, school-shaped finals, and transferable UK clinical practice.

It is not a second PLAB 2 page and not a substitute for the MLA OSCE hub. If your school’s CPSA is 12 × 10 minutes with a viva, use the MLA guide. If you are an IMG sitting GMC PLAB 2, use the PLAB 2 guide.

What Clinical OSCE looks like on the platform

You get the full 1,800+ library and Core of 665. Notes, tips and clinical-skills guides are the UK set (NICE, CKS, BNF, NHS, GMC).

Default mock: 10 stations, 8 minutes, 90 seconds reading. You can set 4–20 stations, 5–15 minutes, 0–5 minutes reading. Typed examiner viva is available on this track when the station is long enough. Product mocks use product scoring (including a 50% station-pass line on the results screen) — that is not your school's pass rule.

The study loop that actually works

3. Review — Session Review, Discuss with Professor, personalised note if paid.
4. Simulate — a mock matched to your school's station count and timing.

What one station looks like, end to end

1. Read the brief — default 90 seconds; set reading to match your school.
2. Choose Voice or Text.
3. Run the clock — default 8 minutes; change it if your school uses 6, 8 or 10.
4. Viva if your format has one — typed examiner viva is available on this track for longer stations.
5. Grading — three domains, 10 competencies, Issue/Ideal, transcript.
6. Discuss with Professor — “What did I do well?” / “Where did I lose marks and why?”
7. Optional paid note, then retry.

How to match the platform to your school

1. Write down your school's station count, minutes, reading time, and whether there is a viva.
2. Set the Clinical OSCE mock to those numbers (4–20 stations, 5–15 min, 0–5 min reading).
3. Use Start Here for coverage; use Build a Station for school-specific outliers.
4. Ignore PLAB 2’s 16+2 and MLA’s 12 × 10 unless that is your format.
5. Treat product Pass/Fail as practice feedback, not your school's standard.
